update

my watching of baccano was too chopped for me to really piece together all that happened (not to mention the way it was presented was already very choppy!

aaaaand i watched strike witches and gunslinger girl, both of witch (punlol) were enjoyable. gunslinger girl's story didnt amount to much, but otherwise it was very well done. strike witches was...fair. enjoyable though...heh..heh...hehhh

now going to marathon the rest of code geass.
i feel unsure about code geass so far. i'll go over all my thoughts and views on it once im done with it.

JACUZZI SPLOT, what a freakin name. Baccano is fresh and exciting, definitely liking it. Almost every character is really colorful, which you don't see everyday.

Cowboy Bebop was absolutely stellar, I ordered it for my collecshun.
I still can't get over how incredible Ed was. Nice ending to her story also...

ED!

Ed is now my favorite bebop character.
She is amazing. The episode where they all get attacked on board their ship by the evil lobster fridge mutation which Ed then eats is...GOLD. PURE GOLD.

new anime

today got all of megazone 23. ive been hearing good things about this anime for a while. its apparently the quintessential 80's anime, and i love 80's anime so....YAY!!!!!!!

WTF, at the beginning of episode 24 of tora, Minorin goes chasing after Taiga and trips. she falls without even trying to catch herself and slides 3 feet ON HER FACE, hands at her sides, before getting back up and continuing to run. WHO DOES THAT!?!?!?!

next anime and bebop stuff

im staying quite busy with school (which is a good thing, failing=bad), so im only able to get in a couple episodes a day...
heres the future lineup:
finish cowboy bebop
xenosaga
full metal panic
flcl
....i doubt i can watch all these by the end of school BUT........who knows.

Anyway, spike seems much more of an average guy than vash, who was TRYING to be a normal guy but he was just so exceptional that it was virtually impossible for him...
spike seems more like your "typical bounty hunter", setting aside his exceptional fighting skill and sense of humanity...does this make him LESS interesting than vash? it could go either way...although vash's getup is obviously way cooler..heh.

bebebebebop

yet another future possibility for cosplay...I have the exact same build and hair as Spike...
Episode 2...Abdul gets into the car marked "Just married" and the groom comes up to him and says "excuse me, what are you-"
*ABDUL PUNCHES HIM IN THE FACE AND DRIVES AWAY*
lolololol

favorite tora moments thus far

I'm on episode 23 of toradora, so i'm not quite done with it yet...but here's a couple of my favorite moments from the series...

1.Anytime Kitamura laughs...there's just something about his laugh that...gets me...

2.The time when Kitamura appears LYING ON THE GROUND before Ryuuji and Taiga, as a way of showing his respect for Taiga....lol

3.Ryuuji clubbing Taiga on the head with a mop after using it to try and get her to come to the window....adorable

,,,also, Inko-chan terrifies me...
i got tired of watching toradora so i switched over to cowboy bebop.
i've heard great things about this show for a while now, so, im excited about it. the trigun manga is among my favorites as far as gun-toting crazies are concerned....cowboy bebop seems to lend itself to that style of anime, which pleases me...
so far only watched half of silent mobius and blue seed. I'm starting to favor blue seed just because it seems more well put together. silent mobius is a combination of sailor moon and evangelion...and all the people have ginat shnozes...

slice of life stuff, like tora, because of its closer similarity to actual student life, makes connecting with the characters and events a much more prevalent aspect of enjoying the show.

so, the more grounded in reality the basis of the show is, the more conscious sympathy we develop. what effects does this have....

tora thoughts

toradora...slice of life? is this what my life could be like in some alternate universe? i do feel a little connection with ryuuji. this anime brought to mind a question i had...
most anime is far from ever being possible in actuality, which is part of the attraction (of entertainment)...but slice of life stuff like toradora is close enough to reality that its story might actually be feasible. which is more enviable? which one makes you look at your own life with all the more disinterest?
